What is IOLTA?

IOLTA stands for Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts. An IOLTA program exists in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Upon approval of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania IOLTA Board makes grants to qualified non-profit legal aid organizations and law school clinical and internship programs that provide free civil legal representation to the poor and disadvantaged.

Our Work

The Pennsylvania IOLTA Board’s core work involves monitoring attorney and bank compliance with the IOLTA rules and regulations, managing various revenue streams, and administering robust grants programs.
