IOLTA-funded legal aid organizations provide civil legal assistance to low-income Pennsylvanians. The Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN) serves clients across the Commonwealth and offers an online application.
Other IOLTA-funded legal aid organizations maintain their own intake and client acceptance procedures. Please review the list of current grant recipients and contact those in your area.
Pennsylvania Free Legal Answers is a great resource offered by the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
If your former attorney is still actively practicing, their contact information is on the letter you received. Call the attorney, mention the Remittance ID in the subject line, and tell them you want to claim the funds. The attorney will reclaim the funds from the IOLTA Board and then send you a check for the amount due to you.
If your former attorney is not available to assist you, you must complete an Owner Claim Request.
