Open an IOLTA Account

It’s a simple 4-step process to open an account

Download and print the Enrollment Form.
Choose a bank or credit union from the list of eligible financial institutions [link] approved by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to hold PA IOLTA accounts.
Take the Enrollment Form to the bank. Complete it with the bank manager.
Email a scanned copy of the completed Enrollment Form to the IOLTA Board at paiolta@pacourts.us. Leave a completed copy with the bank, and keep a copy for yourself.

IOLTA accounts are specialized bank products. Make an appointment with the bank manager to open your IOLTA account.
IOLTA’s Federal Tax ID number should be associated with the account’s earned interest, not the principal balance.
The mailing address on your IOLTA account should be that of the firm, not the IOLTA Board’s mailing address.
If the bank you have selected is not a Platinum Leader Bank, ask the bank manager to consider electing Platinum Leader Bank status.
